Top-ranked IP firm adds two new hires, Peter FitzPatrick and Hannah Smith-Willis
LONDON – Specialist IP law firm Powell Gilbert LLP has added to its market-leading team with the hire of two solicitors, Peter FitzPatrick and Hannah Smith-Willis. Both have strong scientific and technical backgrounds, in line with the excellence for which Powell Gilbert’s team is renowned.
Peter FitzPatrick joins Powell Gilbert from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he was an associate specialising in IP litigation and cyber security. Prior to working as a lawyer, Peter worked in IT over a 15-year period, providing him with significant expertise in the IT, technology and telecommunications industries. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford. Peter qualified in 2012.
Hannah Smith-Willis is an IP solicitor specialising in contentious patent work. She joins from Fieldfisher and has extensive experience of representing clients in patent litigation proceedings in the life sciences sector. Hannah holds a BA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford and was admitted as a solicitor in 2014.
