Isabel Burnham

Isabel has experience of contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of intellectual property rights. As well as litigation before the UK Patents Court, she has experience of coordinating multi-jurisdictional patent litigation, working with legal advisers from North America and across Europe. Isabel's scientific background is of particular relevance when working on litigation relating to technical subject matter. Recently, she has worked on patent cases in the pharmaceutical, computer software, electronics, energy and mobile telecommunications sectors.


Isabel has advised clients in relation to trade mark infringement actions and oppositions, copyright and passing off, including an application to the UK High Court for an urgent interim injunction to prevent the distribution of product packaging bearing competitor trade marks and copyright material. Isabel also has experience relating to customs seizures and anti-counterfeiting in the FMCG sector.


Isabel joined Powell Gilbert in 2010. Isabel is a member of IPSoc.
