Callum has experience in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, registered and unregistered designs, copyright, trademarks, passing off and confidential information.
Prior to practice, Callum worked as a Senior Research Assistant in the Institute for Law and Web at the University of Southampton and as a Legal Research Consultant in an IT development company. During this time he was involved in various FP7 European Commission projects concerning the Future Internet and trust-enabling technologies.
Callum holds rights of audience in all courts of England and Wales, having trained and qualified as a barrister at 8 New Square. During this period he was exposed to a variety of industry sectors ranging from generic pharmaceuticals and telecommunications to publishing and clothing design. Having worked with a broad range of clients, Callum has been involved in proceedings before various tribunals including the IPEC (Intellectual Property Enterprise Court), High Court, Court of Appeal and UK IPO.
Callum joined Powell Gilbert in October 2015.
