Rebecca has experience in a wide range of intellectual property rights. She has been involved in litigation before the UK Patent Office, High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords, and in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, as well as mediation. She has extensive experience of patent infringement, revocation and entitlement disputes and is regularly involved in coordinating litigation in the UK with parallel actions taking place in other jurisdictions. Rebecca has also advised on 'freedom to operate' issues.
Rebecca’s scientific background enables her to offer comprehensive advice about technical issues relating to intellectual property. In addition, Rebecca has been involved in anti-counterfeiting, lookalike and parallel import matters for well known household brands.
Rebecca joined Powell Gilbert as a senior associate in March 2007 and became a partner in 2008. Prior to that Rebecca was a senior associate in the IP department at Bristows. She has lectured, and writes, on aspects of IP law. |
