Isabel has experience of contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of intellectual property rights. As well as litigation before the UK Patents Court, she has experience of mediation, and of coordinating multi-jurisdictional patent litigation, working with legal advisers from North America and across Europe.

Isabel has advised in relation to patent disputes spanning a wide range of industry sectors and technologies, including the determination of FRAND rates for standards essential patents. Recently she has worked on patent cases in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, computer software, electronics, energy and mobile telecommunications sectors.

Isabel has advised clients in relation to copyright, trade mark and passing off disputes, including an application to the UK High Court for an urgent interim injunction to prevent the distribution of product packaging bearing competitor trade marks and copyright material. Isabel also has experience relating to customs seizures and anti-counterfeiting in the FMCG sector.

Isabel joined Powell Gilbert in 2010.
